UFC 160: Five Friday Questions

1.  CAN SILVA AVOID THE GROUND?
In their last meeting, Bigfoot Silva threw a low kick, Cain Velasquez quickly caught the kick, took Silva to the ground and dominated him from there.  Since that time, Silva admitted he made a mistake in his approach with Cain, but does that mean he won't throw kicks?  Is he practicing his takedown defense?  Cain is not only the fastest heavyweight but also the best wrestler, Cormier notwithstanding.  On his feet, Cain has been wobbled and his only loss came when Junior Dos Santos caught him in a stand-up exchange.  Silva might also hope to gas him out like he did with Alistair Overeem before he put him away, but Cain also possesses the best cardio in the division.  Still, anything is better than fighting Cain on the ground.

2.  WILL JUNIOR DOS SANTOS TAKE THE FIGHT TO THE GROUND?
Dos Santos can outbox pretty much anyone in his division but any fighter who tries to stand with Hunt may land a few successfully, but then begin to realize just how tough his chin.  Hunt's ground game has been the one area of his game most exploited in his losses and Dos Santos holds a black belt in BJJ.  If Dos Santos takes Hunt down, he avoids the danger of finding himself in a straightfoward brawl which always favors the guy with the toughest head.

3.  CAN JUNIOR DOS SANTOS HURT MARK HUNT ON HIS FEET?
Speaking of toughest head, is there anyone in the UFC with a better chin than Mark Hunt?  (Maybe Roy Nelson, a similarly stout striker.)  Hunt takes blows to give blows and the fighters that choose t play his game always lose.  Dos Santos is the best pure striker in a long time and has dropped some of the toughest guys in the division, but can even that kind of power crack Hunt's aura of invincibility?

4.  WILL GLOVER TEIXEIRA ADD A KO TO HIS HIGHLIGHT REEL?
Te Huna brings a solid, well-rounded game and cuts an imposing figure in the Octagon, but he has been knocked down a few times, most notably his last fight where Ryan Jimmo nearly finished him in the first round before storming back to take it.  Teixeira not only hurts you, but also knows how to finish with 12 KO's or TKO's on his record.

5.  WITH ONLY ONE LOSS ON HIS RECORD, IS GRAY MAYNARD STILL A LIGHTWEIGHT CONTENDER?
With the influx of Strikeforce talent and a TKO loss to then-champion Frankie Edgar, Gray Maynard finds himself standing on the outside, a forgotten man.  It's hard to believe that anyone with 11 wins and only one loss could be yesterday's news, but life moves fast in the ever-growing UFC.  But a dominant win over a very tough T.J. Grant should remind everyone he remains one of the elite lightweights in the world.

***BONUS QUESTION***
Last time out, James Te Huna gave us the "Men In Black" dancing entrance.  What will we see this time around?
